TRANSFORMING PAIN INTO PURPOSE
Who We Are
We are John and Christina Bernard — a husband-and-wife team united by faith, purpose, and a calling to walk with people through life's hardest moments.
John is a United States Army veteran, Registered Medical Assistant, and Certified Master Life Coach with 30+ years of experience in behavioral health and medicine. He has worked across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings supporting individuals and families through mental health challenges, substance use, and crisis. His personal journey through profound darkness shaped a ministry born not from theory — but from survival and faith.
Christina is an ordained minister, certified chaplain, and motivational speaker with a heart for people in their darkest seasons. A former praise dance leader and principal actor on the hit Christian play and television show "The Awakening," Christina has spent years counseling and mentoring women through relational challenges, life adversity, and spiritual crisis. Now walking through her own battle with Stage 4 cancer with extraordinary grace and faith, she brings to this ministry something no degree can teach — the testimony of a woman who has stood in the fire and refused to be consumed.
Together they founded Crushed 2 Christ — because they know what it means to be broken, and they know the God who restores.

What We Do
We combine faith-based cancer care coaching, emotional wellness counseling, and motivational speaking to inspire hope and resilience.
Through one-on-one coaching, small group sessions, and workshops, we guide clients to:
-
Find peace in the process of healing
-
Strengthen emotional and spiritual resilience
-
Reconnect with purpose and faith
-
Transform pain into power

Our programs are informed by our own lived experiences and the City of Hope Cancer Center’s training program – Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry, allowing us to bridge the gap between faith, compassion, and practical emotional support.
Why We Do It
We do this because we’ve been there.
We’ve walked the long nights, faced the hard diagnoses, and clung to faith when everything felt uncertain. Through that journey, we discovered that healing is not only physical—it’s emotional, spiritual, and relational.
Our purpose is to help others discover that same healing power of faith, hope, and love—to remind them that even in life’s darkest moments, light and purpose can rise.

Prayer Journal
Christina and John Bernard’s new book is a heartfelt guide to finding strength and peace through prayer during life’s most difficult moments.
Written from their own journey of faith and healing, it offers encouragement, scripture-based reflections, and hope for anyone facing illness or uncertainty. This inspiring resource reminds readers that prayer is not just a ritual—it’s a lifeline to comfort, courage, and divine strength.
